Luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot today announces the unveiling of its new limited edition Hublot King Power “305” timepiece will take place on Wednesday, September 26, at The W South Beach.
The unveiling and launch party, with special guest and Miami Heat DJ, DJ Irie, features a 30-foot video wall, catering by famed culinary experts at W South Beach, free-flowing Dom Perignon champagne and an official unveiling announcement from Hublot’s CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe and Hublot Americas exclusive partner Rick De La Croix.
The Hublot King Power Miami 305 watch: Engraved with the number “305″ – the city’s famous area code – white and ocean blue to evoke the sand and sea of South Florida, the King Power Miami “305” is a special edition limited to just 50 pieces, specially developed to honour “The Gateway to the Americas”.
This 48 mm-diameter watch, made from King Gold (18 carat gold with 5% platinum which lends it its distinctive red colour) is equipped with a HUB4214 mechanical self-winding skeleton chronograph movement, formed of 257 components, which oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hours and boasts a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
The watch’s solid case-back, also in King Gold, is engraved with a view of Miami Downtown and, of course, the number “305”. The blue Hornback alligator strap, stitched onto white rubber, completes the watch, which is water-resistant to 100 metres.
A version set with 374 white diamonds, totalling approximately 3.34 carats, is also available in an extremely limited run of 10 pieces.

So Hublot have made a step further towards total customer satisfaction, They have produced a Watch solely for the Loan to Hublot customers whilst their own personal Hublot Timepiece is being repaired…. Not just any ordinary run of the mill watch but a watch that has Hublot at is heart, a watch that is based on all of Hublot’s Fusion principals, introducing the Hublot Atelier Watch…
A Hublot that you can’t buy??? … YES YOU CAN NOT BUY… but they will loan you the Hublot Atelier for as long as required whilst your Hublot is being repaired or serviced, now that’s service with a smile….. And it boldly and proudly states that on the Hublot Atelier “NOT FOR SALE”
Its a simple, (if there is such a thing in a Hublot watch) Timpiece with date indication at 3 o’clock, small seconds ,no markings or numerals, just plain Black case, Black strap, Black Dial. But you cant help but see that even though it is not your typical Hublot timepiece it oozes Hublot, The case shape is that similar look and feel and we have steel screws again placed as with most current Hublots on the case of the Atelier watch.
Hublot state that it is mostly Swiss made and is run by a quartz movement so none of the Hublot panache here, but it is a gesture of some magnitude and one that puts Hublot above the rest in customer service within the luxury watch industry.
This service is only available to customers using Hublots’ own boutiques and is at the discretion of the management of each boutique.
Hublots CEO Ricardo Guadalupe says “The Hublot customer is an integral part of our Hublot family. While his personal watch is being taken care of, we will be very pleased to provide him with an “Atelier Watch”. With this, he will remain both physically and emotionally connected to Hublot until his personal timepiece will be returned in perfect condition. We are very proud to have been able to roll out this concept in all Hublot’s boutiques worldwide, 49 of them to date, and in record time so as to be up and running for the return from the holidays”
The watches are to be loaned out without charge to the customer for as long as is necessary so as to retain the customers connection with Hublot, It is just a token and many may not even want to use it but its there and that is all that is required.
My biggest problem with this watch is as I said will Hublot owners want to wear it, Its a Quartz mostly Swiss Made??? especially after they are used to a King Power or Big Bang on their Wrist. Now they are watches, but I still like it’s simplicity and styling and if they ever marketed them for sale as an automatic i’m sure they will sell and lots of them at that… BUT to a different market than their current we think?

The website is no longer just a shop window. It allows users to discover this complete universe and its products, and offers them the opportunity to create a direct commercial environment with a single aim: to build a closer customer relationship.
Are you ready to go surfing? New Hublot website set to spawn copycats. In addition to its usual functions, the website also incorporates a number of innovative features offering brand new experiences to the world of luxury watchmaking.
First, the guiding principle behind the tool’s development can be summed up very simply: The customer is everything. Let’s get to the heart of the matter: A complete 360° tour of a watchmaking manufacture. This has never been done before. Visitors can now take a virtual tour of the workshops simply by moving their mouse, while Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot, or Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, presents and explains the expertise of the department concerned. All of the manufacture’s workshops are included in the tour. A complete voyage of discovery through the world of watch production. And finally, as a visitor to Switzerland you can see how and where they are made.
Second major innovation: within the Hublot site, each boutique has its own specific website. There are currently more than 40. Enter the boutique of your choice by turning your mouse 360° (roll-out to be completed by the end of the year), meet the manager or one of the sales staff and communicate with him or her, find out the latest local news for each boutique, its events, special editions, and get the address and floor plan sent to your mobile… It sounds simple, but these are firsts for the industry.
Finally, instructional videos on watch maintenance, a comparison tool and a model suggestion tool based on your preferences while browsing, as well as the option to create a personalised profile directly on the site: your watches, your boutiques… these are the main new features Hublot added to the more traditional functions.

The relationship between Hublot SA the Swiss watchmaker and Manchester United Football Club was further highlighted with a break in pre-season appearance at a fashion show by the United Stars at a Hublot Art of Fusion show.
Ferguson allowing a break during pre-season??? he must be slacking in his later years, or is it the temptation of a Hublot on the wrist that done it? No I’m sure it’s not but in today’s football world marketing is very high on the priority list….. At least it wasn’t in the middle of a busy season, but it is a lovely way to see in a new season coming soon.

Shanghai, July 26, 2012 – Hublot presented an exceptional fashion show in partnership with the world’s most famous football club, Manchester United. A group of footballing stars, including Rio Ferdinand, Javier Hernandez, and Shinji Kagawa, participated in this event along with first team manager Sir Alex Ferguson. They took to the catwalk to showcase a collection of iconic Hublot timepieces.
After the fashion show, Sir Alex Ferguson and Hublot’s Brand Director in China, Loic Biver, presided over a live charity auction the proceeds of which will benefit the ‘United for UNICEF’ partnership, helping UNICEF to give every child the best start in life. Hublot prepared an exclusive timepiece for the auction; this was an exact replica of those manufactured specially for the Manchester United squad, made exclusive by the inclusion of Sir Alex Ferguson’s signature, engraved on the reverse.
A footballing giant with over a century of history and glittering with honours, Manchester United have a splendid record of success and have become the world’s best-supported team. In 2008, Hublot proudly became Manchester United’s “Official Timekeeping Partner”, in the first partnership of its kind between a luxury watch brand and a football club.
To mark the partnership, Hublot have developed three limited edition watches named after the Red Devils, highlighting the solidarity between the two iconic brands. The third edition of Hublot’s official Manchester United timepiece, the King Power Red Devil, even incorporates real blades of grass from the hallowed turf of the legendary Old Trafford pitch, embedded in each index on its dial. Perfectly demonstrating the ‘Art of Fusion,’ Hublot here acknowledge their football partner through exquisite design.

Before the fashion show, Sir Alex Ferguson was also invited to attend the opening ceremony of Hublot’s brand new boutique, located on Nanjing Road West 1079. The new store design adheres to Hublot’s distinguished style, the decor incorporating low-key but simultaneously luxurious elements. Within the boutique, customers are able to observe the watchmaking procedure through a ‘magic showcase.’

Hublot has become Official watch provider, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the prestigious Juventus of Turin from next season 2012/2013. Simultaneously, the 2011/2012 Italian champion and a historic record breaker by playing an entire 38-game season undefeated, the famous Juve – La Vecchia Signora or “The Old Lady” as the Italians affectionately call the team – chose Hublot to accompany them next season 2012/2013.
It is an honor and a privilege for the Swiss watchmaker to be associated with a team that boasts such a glorious record of achievements. Juventus of Turin is a monumental team with an imposing history. Founded in 1897, the club is the third-oldest in the country and has played in Italian football’s top division since its beginning (except for one season in 2006-2007). In addition to being the most supported team, Juve has won the most national titles and is one of the most decorated and recognized teams in the world.
According to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics, which is recognized by FIFA, Juventus was the best Italian club and second-best European club of the 20th century. In 1985, Juventus became the first team in the history of European football to win all three major competitions organized by the UEFA: the European Champion’s Cup, the Cup Winners Cup and the UEFA Cup. After their triumph in the International Cup that same year, Juventus also became the first and only team in the history of football to win every single official confederation competition and the club world title. Hublot and the club decided to announce their partnership in China on the occasion of the Italian SuperCoppa Final (Juventus Turin vs. Naples) on August 7, 2012 at Beijing National Stadium.
